Joovy Caboose Ultralight

Posted on March 11, 2018March 21, 2018 By thegreatmombie

Why I chose the Joovy

When we found out we were expecting baby no. 2, I knew that a double stroller would be on the top of my “need to buy” list. I did an extensive amount of research on the different brands, structure, durability, and customization of many brands. Once I narrowed it down to two brands, I dissected them both for the best option, and ultimately went with the Joovy. The Joovy is great for the larger age gap in your little ones, (such as mine, 5 years apart). I broke down the ins and outs of the stroller below.

The Structure

The Joovy Caboose Ultralight Graphite is a “double stroller” with sit and stand capabilities and the ability to convert to a full double stroller with the additional purchase of a rear seat. The Joovy is very lightweight, has easy use features, and a compact fold. The stroller also has a universal infant car seat adapter and includes the click and connect toddler tray for older children. This feature is one of my favorites as it does not limit you to one brand of infant seat or the need to buy another type simply to accommodate the double stroller. The stroller comes with a parent organizer for your bottle of water or drink, cellphones, wallets and so-forth. The Joovy Ultralight come with a rear canopy extension that covers the rear rider when seated, and fully encloses the front rider infant car seat as well. The Joovy brand is also the only one with a 95 pound manufacturers weight limit, (graco, baby trend, bravo, all have a 50 pound max limit). The only downside I saw was the inability to hold two infant car seats at once, however, it is a great product for the larger age gap in siblings, and is very price friendly!

Quality at an Affordable Price

To brag a bit more on the quality of the stroller, I have to start by saying the frame is on point! it is very steady, and has a smooth ride. The fabric is tough and has survived the “toddler and kid break in” I tested out the stroller with my nephew, 15 months at the time and my son, who was 4 at the time, between the juice and cracker spills and mess, I was able to see first hand just how durable the material really was. I was able to wipe and clean the mess off without hassle and the stroller looks brand new again! The plastic stand on the back is of quality plastic and withheld my 50 pound son without any squeaking or bending of any kind. Over all the stroller is made to last. However if for whatever reason (tornado, hurricane, or you run it over with a car possibly!) the Joovy brand itself comes with a two year warranty versus the traditional one year warranty every other brand usually comes with.

The Affordable Part

If you are anything like me, I am a momma on a budget, however I also want quality, so this can sometimes be a challenge!! Not with the Joovy Caboose. The Joovy Caboose can be purchased on Amazon for only $186.00, that is a MAJOR steal on a double stroller, considering the other comparable brands range from $250 and up.
